Zhong Tuanyu is from Fu'an, Fujian Province. She is a delegate of the 14th National People's Congress and is currently the vice president and secretary general of the She Ethnic Traditional Martial Arts Association in Fu'an City.

She also serves as the secretary of the Party Branch, director of the Village Committee, and Chairwoman of the Women's Federation in Jindouyang Village, Kangcuo She Ethnic Township. She is a student majoring in administrative management with a focus on rural management at Fu'an Open University in the spring of 2022.

"She Family Boxing is a treasure left by our ancestors, and we cannot discard it." Zhong Tuanyu, the newly elected National People's Congress representative, is a representative inheritor of She Ethnic Martial Arts (Fu'an Jindouyang She Ethnic Boxing), a Fujian provincial intangible cultural heritage protection project."

As a martial arts inheritor, Zhong Tuanyu has been committed to inheriting and promoting She Family Boxing and bringing this intangible cultural heritage project out of She Ethnic villages and into the public eye. During this process, she has come up with the idea of using martial arts to promote rural revitalisation.

After being elected as the Secretary of the Party Branch and the Director of the Village Committee of Jindouyang Village in 2021, Zhong Tuanyu led the villagers in continuously improving the martial arts theme park, martial arts gallery, and other projects in the village, planning tourism routes with She Ethnic characteristics, organising study tours and other activities, and accelerating the revitalisation of She Ethnic villages.

Zhong Tuanyu’s suggestion this year is to "increase support and protection for She Ethnic culture by relevant departments, and to systematically plan and promote it through various channels, exploring a path for the organic integration of She Ethnic culture and rural revitalization." She also proposed to "improve the training and evaluation system for intangible cultural heritage talents, and form a talent pool for protecting and inheriting the intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities."
