Beijing, 24 April 2025 - Revolving around China’s "National Strategy to Proactively Address Population Ageing," the Seniors University of China (SUC) and the Bureau for Retired Personnel of the Ministry of Education (MOE) co-hosted a thematic study session titled "Current Affairs Forum".

Key attendees included YU Hong, Director-General of the Bureau for Retired Personnel of MOE, Deputy Director-Generals DIAO Qiang and WANG Enzhi; and FAN Xianrui, Vice President of Open University of China and SUC. Over 30 young officials from both institutions participated in the session.

Vice President FAN Xianrui underscored that young officials have adopted a problem-oriented approach to delve into primary-level research with a sense of responsibility and genuine concern. Their efforts have deepened the understanding of elderly education and the potential of senior talent.

Director YU Hong noted that the event focused on the national strategy for proactively addressing population ageing, providing systematic and comprehensive insights. She also emphasised that young officials should further enhance their research capabilities, striving to become action-oriented professionals with vision and responsibility.
