Beijing, 22 April 2025 - For the celebration of World Book Day 2025, the Smart Education of China ∙ Lifelong Education Platform and the Open University of China (OUC) Lifelong Education Platform jointly present this year's theme series - "Fragrance of Books Through the Ages”.

The Smart Education of China ∙ Lifelong Education Platform offers six dedicated modules, like Classic Literature Analysis, Cultural Classics, Children’s Reading, Professional Development Reading, Silver Generation Reading, Family Reading, which creates an integrated reading ecosystem for all age groups, including silver generation, professionals, families, and children. 1,500 premium courses, selected audiobook resources and personalised learning services are accessible on the platform, which will benefit “Reading China” programme (a national reading initiative).

Meanwhile, as parts of the celebration, a ten-day marathon of exclusive lectures will be broadcast simultaneously across all channels of both platforms and some celebrated authors were invited to give their book recommendations in the field of cutting-edge popular science, mental health literature, to name just a few.
