On 2nd May, 2017, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Academician Guo Huadong was invited to the OUC to record a video lecture called, “Enhancing the Belt and Road Initiative (the Initiative) with Space Technologies,” through a project with Science and China: Lectures by Academicians and Experts.

The Open University of China (OUC) recently concluded the preliminary round of its first Teaching Skills Contest for Teachers of Education Majors. The final competition will take place at OUC headquarters in June 2017. OUC vice president Liu Chen is in charge of the competition, while the School of Education is organising and coordinating the competition.
