The 2025 World Digital Education Conference was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province from 14 to 15 May 2025. During one of the parallel sessions themed "Explore Digitally, Act Wisely: Empowering Large-Scale Personalized Lifelong Learning through Digital Intelligence", the Open University of China (OUC) officially unveiled its new-generation information infrastructure, the Digital Foundation System, a smart platform designed to support lifelong learning for all.
Professor ZHANG Ruilin, a retired faculty member of OUC and a participant in the Ministry of Education’s “Silver Age Plan” teaching support initiative was invited by the Retirement Office and the Department of Student Affairs and Teacher Development at the Open University of China (OUC) to share his experience during a themed lecture. took the stage as the keynote speaker. XU Mingjun, Vice President of OUC, attended the event and delivered an address. QI Wenxin, Deputy Director of the Retirement Office moderated the lecture.
