A few days ago, the teaching video programme series Stepping into Inkstone Culture, co-shot and produced by the Open University of China (OUC) and the Federation of Ink-stone Culture (FISC) under the Association of China Yan Huang Culture Research (ACYHCR), was launched online.

With the joint efforts of OUC headquarters, OUC branches, local colleges, and study centres, the OUC's Cloud Classroom Project Phase II has been completed, and the cloud classroom has been officially put into use.

In March 2016, the construction of a virtual (panoramic) studio at Bingtuan Radio and Television University (Bingtuan RTVU), the first of its kind in this RTVU, and the construction of which was aided by the Open University of China (OUC), was completed and is awaiting final inspection by the OUC before being put into use.

On March 24, 2016, the Ministry of Education (MOE) held a press conference to introduce the Action Plan for the Boosting Education and Ability Programme for Migrant Workers:“Realizing Dreams of Further Education”.

To carry forward the essence of traditional culture, popularize knowledge of traditional sinology, and meet the national demand for sinology learning, the Research and Training Centre for Community Education under the Ministry of Education (MOE) launched the "i – Sinology Experiment " (hereafter short for i-Experiment) construction work in June 2015.

On March 10, 2016, both the Party Branch and the Youth Committee of the Learning Resources Department of the Open University of China (OUC) worked together to hold a student aid event called “New School Bags, New Hope.” Initiated by Xinjiang Daily and the Xinjiang White Swan assistance network, the event has donated schoolbag packages(including stationery, dictionaries, toys, etc.) valued at 39 yuan to children from poor families in the rural and pastoral areas of Xinjiang during the new school term.

The Outline of the 13th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development (hereinafter referred to as the Outline) was officially released on March 17, 2016.
