A grand gathering was held to mark the country's accomplishments in poverty alleviation, and commend individual and group role models in the campaign, in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China, on 25 February 2021.

Zhejiang Zongtai Agricultural Development, founded by Hu Xiuxiu, a Zhejiang-branch student, was given an award.

Hu Xiuxiu is an Autumn 2019 Business Management student, and a member of the Women's Entrepreneurship Alliance, an online Party organisation for open-education students at the Zhejiang Branch. Zongtai Agriculture, which she founded, has helped lift more than 3, 000 households out of poverty in the state by way of the model of "providing chicken hatchlings, purchasing eggs, and recycling adult chickens."  Her company has set up a thousand breeding bases in Sichuan and over five hundred in western Zhejiang, offering an average annual income of more than 15,000 yuan per household. In the next few years, Zongtai Agriculture will continue to help bring prosperity to society, with Hu Xiuxiu planning to expand to Anji, Kaihua, Jiangshan, and other places. At present, investigation of 50 low-income households has been completed in Songyang and Lishui, where the first batch of 10,000 hatchlings will soon be sent.

Innovation enhances work, and Hu Xiuxiu has been a model for student entrepreneurs seeking to help fight poverty. For many years, the Zhejiang Branch has been focused on giving practical training, and in recent years has paid special attention to innovation and entrepreneurship. In particular, it uses the online Party organisation as a communication platform for the vast number of open-education students, promoting student entrepreneurship in terms of publicity, coordination, planning and other dimensions.
