Changsha, 8-10 December 2025 - To strengthen alumni engagement and foster mutual growth between alumni and the university, the Open University of China (OUC) organised an alumni work seminar. XU Mingjun, Deputy Secretary of CPC OUC Committee, and OU Jun, Vice President and Deputy Secretary of CPC Hunan Open University Committee, attended the event. Around 100 participants, including university leaders and relevant department heads from 39 OUC branches and OUC headquarters, joined the discussion. The event was chaired by ZHENG Jie, Director of OUC’s Alumni Liaison Office.
Beijing, 5 December 2025 – The finals of the Open University of China (OUC)'s 2nd "My Learning Story" speech competition was held at the Wukesong Campus in Beijing. Fifteen contestants from branches and colleges across the country shared sincere and moving stories, showcasing the spirit of "pursuing knowledge, striving for progress, and engaging in lifelong learning" among Open University students in the new era.
Beijing, 29 November 2025 - More than 50 students majored in Artificial Intelligence at the Experimental College of the Open University of China (OUC) visited the Huawei Beijing Exhibition Centre for a study tour. FAN Xianrui, Vice President of OUC, and RUAN Dongmin, General Manager of Huawei's Education Business, attended the event and delivered speeches. The students explored the exhibition hall in an immersive manner, gaining up-close experience with the industrial applications of cutting-edge AI technologies.
Beijing, 27 November 2025 - The Seminar on Innovative Development of Industrial Workers Training was held. The event brought together over 50 representatives from open universities, conventional higher education institutions and enterprises. In attendance were JIANG Wenliang, former Deputy Head and First-Class Inspector of the Department of Labour and Economy of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions; LI Song, Vice President of the Open University of China (OUC); and XU Lu, Deputy Director of the Continuing Education Division, Department of Vocational and Adult Education, Ministry of Education.
