Four teachers from the School of Science and Engineering, China Central Radio TV Middle School, School of Political Science and Law, and the Learning Resources Department of the Open University of China (OUC) jointly participated in the 44th "Five Golds" Teaching Demonstration Initiative.
This nationwide programme, which focuses on top-tier disciplines, courses, educators, training bases, and materials, is part of the new infrastructure initiative of the modern education system and is sponsored by the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education (CSTVE). The event brought together representatives from the Ministry of Education, China State Railway Group, and other relevant institutions. It aims to further advance educational reform, enhance talent cultivation quality, and learn from outstanding vocational education teaching achievements.
As a brand project and important way for the CSTVE to help vocational colleges enhance their key school-operational capabilities, promote the digital transformation of their majors, and drive the high-quality development of modern vocational education, the "Five Golds" Teaching Demonstration Initiative has been held continuously for 44 sessions since 2019. At this session, a total of 36 teachers from 16 colleges shared their teaching innovation experiences around nine majors and 24 courses. LU Xin, President of CSTVE, delivered the keynote report.
The OUC teachers who participated in this activity said that, the event broadened their course-building mind and provided important reference for deepening the dual talent training mode of industry-education integration and promoting the high-quality construction of courses and learning resources. Since 2024, OUC has jointly built the "Vocational Education Teaching Demonstration Resource Repository" with CSTVE, which focuses on displaying the results of the previous "Five Golds" teaching demonstration activities. So far, 962 teaching demonstration resources have been launched online and are freely available to teachers in the open education system and vocational colleges.
