The Speech Contest on Rural College Student Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Hunan Radio and TV University concluded a few days ago. Over 200 rural college students entered the contest, and in the end six contestants, including Li Jue and Zeng Xiang, were jointly declared winners.

Gu Xiaohua is an associate professor, and deputy director of the Faculty of Humanities of the Open University of China (OUC); a member of the National Vocational-education and Teaching Steering Committee for Human Resources and Social Security; a group leader of the OUC Teaching Research Centre for the Administration major; and a member of the OUC Degree Committee for the Public Administration major. He began teaching at China Central Radio and TV University (CCRTVU) in 2003, and has been mainly responsible for the courses Principles of Politics, Human-resources Management in the Public Sector, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; the construction of learning resources and teaching teams; and teaching management and course construction.

On the afternoon of 10 September, 2019, the OUC celebrated the 2019 Teachers' Day and held a Commendation Conference. More than 400 people, including the school leaders and faculty members, attended the conference. The conference was presided over by Liu Chen, deputy secretary of the Party committee.
In order to further deepen the reform and innovation of the OUC’s ideological and political education work, on the morning of 29 August, 2019, the OUC held an expert evaluation meeting on the major project Research into the Large-scale Online Ideological and Political Education of the OUC.
From 6-7 September, 2019, the OUC held the working conference for the second half of 2019. At the conference, the OUC summarised the work for the first half of the year, and studied and deployed the follow-up work. The OUC leadership team, middle-level cadres, and heads of school offices and enterprises attended the conference.
