On 22 December 2020, a meeting to promote the transformation and development of Shaanxi Open University (Shaanxi OU) was held at the university’s Guodu campus.
In order to further study and implement Xi Jinping's new socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics, uphold and carry forward the fine tradition of "from the masses, to the masses,” and immerse teachers in the grassroots to understand the actual situation of teaching at the front line, the Open University of China (OUC) held an online teacher-student forum on "entering the front line and meeting grassroots-level students and teachers to improve teaching work" on 16 December 2020.
In order to study and implement the guiding principles of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and accurately grasp the meaning of the Lecture Notes of General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Exposition on Education, Jing Degang, secretary of the Party Committee and president of the Open University of China gave a live class on “Situation and Policy” to all teachers and students in the system on 4 December 2020.
The OUC held a conference on the teaching work of political science and law majors, as well as a forum on the innovation of ideological and political education in courses in Guangdong from 11-12 December 2020.
In the teaching ability competition of the 2020 National Vocational Student Skills Competition, held in Zhuzhou, Hunan province from 9 to 12 December 2020 and sponsored by the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Open University of China (OUC) won an outstanding contribution award for its technical support for the competition, which received high praise from the MOE Department of Vocational and Adult Education. Li Linshu, vice president of the OUC, was invited to attend the competition.
In order to further study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, uphold and carry forward the fine tradition of “from the people and to the people,” and become immersed in the grassroots in order to understand the actual situation of teaching at the front-line, the Open University of China (OUC) held a field research trip with the theme of “going down to the front line and being immersed in the grassroots by forming cooperative pairs.”

In June 2020, she was named an “Excellent Communist Party Member of Jiangsu Province” by the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
