On 30 December 2020, the unveiling ceremony for Guangxi Open University (Guangxi OU) was held in Nanning. Guangxi Radio and TV University (Guangxi RTVU) has now been officially renamed as Guangxi OU.
On 27 December 2020, the inauguration of Harbin Open University (Harbin OU), as well as a meeting to promote its construction and development, was held at the Friendship Palace, Harbin.
On 25 December 2020, Ningxia Open University (Ningxia OU) was officially unveiled. The new Internet Plus Education university will serve lifelong learning education for all in Ningxia and promote the construction of open, community and older adult education systems.
An opening ceremony for Sichuan Open University (Sichuan OU) was held in Chengdu on the morning of 30 December 2020.
Qinghai Provincial People’s Government recently approved the renaming of Qinghai Radio and TV University (Qinghai RTVU) as Qinghai Open University(Qinghai OU), signifying that the university has reached a new stage of building a new type of university serving lifelong learning for all.
Recently, the Gansu People’s Provincial Government issued a document entitled “Approval from Gansu People's Provincial Government on the Renaming of Gansu Radio and TV University (Gansu RTVU) as Gansu Open University (Gansu OU)” and approved the renaming of Gansu RTVU as Gansu OU.
On the morning of 29 December 2020, an unveiling ceremony for Xi’an Open University (Xi’an OU), as well as a meeting on promoting the university’s high quality development, was held.
On 6 January 2021, the Open University of China (OUC) held the fourth meeting of the third session of its Academic Degree Evaluation Committee via video conference.
