On 8 July 2022, the first council of the Education Foundation of the Open University of China (OUC) of Beijing held its second meeting. Attendees included all members, council supervisors, and foundation and university personnel.
An exceptional award ceremony was organised at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 24 June 2022 to celebrate the six laureates of the UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICT in Education, including the Open University of China (OUC).
On 3 July 2022, the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Open University of China (OUC) held an online seminar on construction of a unified test-question bank for the bachelor-degree-conferral English examination. Changes to the membership of the OUC steering committee for degree-conferral English examination were confirmed, and construction of a unified question bank was launched.
Under the direction of leaders at all levels of the Open University of China (OUC), with the collaboration of branches, colleges and examination venues, and the cooperation of all teaching departments, as well as the relevant management departments of the headquarters, the final examination for the spring 2022 semester was smooth and orderly. It included two major sections: one unified national written examination on 2 & 3 July, and one online examination lasting from 7 May to 3 July.
Ten OUC urban-services volunteers recently received a special gift – a certificate from the Volunteer Department of the Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and a commemorative certificate autographed by Cai Qi, committee president. Liang Chunhui, a young CPC member with the Academic Affairs Department of the Open University of China (OUC) was named an “Outstanding Urban-services Volunteer” for the games.
On 28 June 2022, the Open University of China (OUC) held a symposium for young teachers on a plan for enhancing their research and innovation abilities. Over twenty people attended, including Li Song, OUC vice president, personnel from the OUC Research and Management Office, and young leaders of the university’s research projects.
Recently, the OUC's first 2022 plenary meeting of the Science and Engineering sub-committee of the 3rd Academic Committee was held. 14 committee members from the OUC headquarters and branches attended.
To implement the Key Points for Enhancing Digital Literacy 2022, the Credit Bank of the Open University of China (OUC) held an academic seminar on construction of a related framework on 28 June 2022. It was held via two-way video link, and presided over by Wang Lina, deputy director of the Credit Bank, with all its members attending.
