The Open University of China (OUC) held a meeting to promote teaching reforms on 11 October 2022. The meeting was attended by Li Song, OUC vice president, teaching and teaching-management personnel, the Experimental School, the Information Technology Department, and the Credit Bank, with Gu Xiaohua, director of the Academic Affairs Department, presiding.
Recently, in order to better implement the MOE’s paired assistance work, the Open University of China (OUC) held a symposium to pay tribute to the first secretary and rural teachers stationed in the village of Wei County, Hebei Province via the video link. Liu Chen, deputy secretary of the CPC committee of the OUC, attended the meeting.
The press affiliated to the Publishing and Media Group of the Open University of China (OUC) was rated as Excellent for its performance in the 2021 social benefits evaluation of books. This is the second year in a row that the OUC Press has been rated as Excellent, receiving a new record score in the evaluation.

On 22 September 2022, a symposium and meeting for freshmen in the Marxist Theory graduate programme, a collaboration of the Open University of China (OUC) and Beijing Jiaotong University （BJU） were held at BJU to mark the official launch of the programme.
