On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, the OUC’s work conference on 2021 enrolment reform and development research and deployment was held from 9-11 June in Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, the holy land of the Red Revolution. The meeting summarised enrolment in spring 2021, arranged for and deployed enrolment work in fall 2021, and discussed thoughts and measures for enrolment reform and development, and the setup and management of the study centre.
In order to implement the requirements of the OUC Comprehensive Reform Plan, accelerate the improvement of the quality of the Social Work major in the Open University of China (OUC), and strengthen the construction of the faculty of Social Work throughout the system, a launch ceremony for the “Collaborative Growth” project for teachers in the Social Work major in the OUC system was held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia on the morning of 10 June 2021.

The Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) held its 34th Annual Conference from 1 to 3 June 2021 at the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL). The conference was held both online and offline, and its theme was “Opening minds for a sustainable future: Re-orienting ODL to surmount challenges”. The paper submitted by the Open University of China (OUC), titled “Best Practices of Poverty Alleviation through ODE: A Case Study from the OUC” received a silver medal of AAOU Best Practice Award.
