The Open University of China started the work of applying for approval of Bachelor’s degree-granting to Beijing Academics Degree Committee (BADC) in 2013.
In 2016, the OUC's Opinions on Promoting the Construction of the School Organisational System and Opinions on Strengthening the OUC Headquarters’ Teaching Departments for the Coordinated Management of Teaching were successively promulgated.
The Open University of China (OUC) held a working conference on the pilot constructing of online teaching team in Beijing on 23rd March, 2017. The conference was presented teachers in the RTVU system nationwide through distance live broadcasting.
