"Home of OUC students" is the OUC’s official WeChat account open for the students of the OUC. The account is designed to strengthen mutual learning communication, share life experience, witness the growth of the OUC, transfer positive energy, and promote the campus culture of the OUC. The WeChat platform selects and organizes the contents from the point of view of the students, with an effort to build a service platform that integrates in one place announcements, good personal examples, learning guidance, information enquiries, and exchange and interaction.
Hunan Radio and TV University (RTVU) has for the first time won a bid for four training projects of national primary and secondary school teachers. Among them, three projects, all for teachers in rural areas, will be undertaken independently by Hunan RTVU, including job orientation training for mathematics teachers from elementary schools, for chemistry teachers from junior high schools, and for counsellors from junior high schools.
After two years of course construction, one of the “E-learning Educator Training” serial courses, Online Education Management, held its first session of training class from April 27 to June 14, 2015.
On July 16, 2015, "the Fifth Forum on the Cultivation of International Chinese Teachers" was held in Beijing, with the theme of "Refined Cultivation". On 14 July 2015, the second working conference of the Quality Assurance Committee of the Open University of China (OUC) was held in Beijing. The conference focused on quality issues, a united quality consensus, clarifying ideas, and taking effective measures to raise overall quality.
The Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Hebei Province recently issued the Notice on the Approval of the Establishment of the Second Group of the Continuing Education Base for Professional Technicians at Provincial Level by Hebei RTVU (Jinrenshezi 【2015】No.107), which indicates that Hebei RTVU has been approved to be the continuous education base for professional technicians at provincial level.
The School for the Disabled, Shenyang Radio and TV University (Shenyang RTVU) recently reached an agreement with Grand Hyatt Shenyang. According to the agreement, the School for the Disabled, Shenyang RTVU will train, prepare and send students of excellent ability to Grand Hyatt Shenyang on a yearly basis. On the part of the hotel, regular arrangements for the disabled students to visit and practice in the hotel will be made every year. It is the first time that Shenyang RTVU has taken education for the disabled students into the university’s student employment category.
On July 3, 2015, a major review meeting for the "Logistics Management Junior College Education (oriented in International Shipping)" of School of the Ocean, the Open University of China (OUC) was held at the OUC Qingdao Branch. Experts, after hearing the major construction report, concluded that the reconstruction of the major has met the requirements of the direction of a new specialty.
