We have learnt from the Disabled Persons’ Federation(DPF) of Hebei Province recently that the 2015 Autumn enrollment for secondary vocational education in the School for the Disabled of Hebei Radio and TV University(Hebei RTVU) is underway now.
On July 21, 2015, Dr. Li Fuxin, President of the Chinese Language Teachers’ Federation of Australia (CLTFA) visited the Open University of China (OUC). Dr. Li looked through the university’s MyEChinese teaching platform and expressed his wish to discuss the possibilities for promoting the platform in the Chinese schools in Australia.
In June 2015, A Study on Korea National Open University, the first book of the World Open Universities Case Study Series, was published by the China Central Radio and TV University (CCRTVU, aka The Open University of China, OUC) Press, which symbolizes the launch of the publication of the World Open Universities Case Study Series, the OUC’s “12th Five Year Plan” national key book publication planning programme.
In the fourth session of the third conference of the Beijing Academic Degrees Commission held recently, the Open University of China (OUC) and the Beijing Police College were unanimously approved as institutions authorized to grant bachelor degrees, with their related programmes being the bachelor degree granting sites. The unopposed vote also sanctioned bachelor degree granting authority for 42 programmes in five independent schools.
The 2014 Open University of China (OUC) scholarship review has recently been completed, and a total of 8704 students have been awarded scholarships, of which 7530 students received an OUC Scholarship, 524 students won the OUC Scholarship “Fields of Hope”, 96 students obtained the OUC Sunshine Scholarship for the Disabled, and 554 students received the OUC Sergeancy Scholarship.
Course Synopsis:
The course is of moderate difficulty with strong practicability and authority. By taking this course, learners can hope to fully understand the teachers’ work and their different roles in online tutoring, as well as the problems tutors might run into and the related solution methods and skills. In addition, learners will study various skills used to strengthen online interactions and experience the different communication styles that teachers employ when tutoring students. Through studying this course, one's faith in online tutoring shall be greatly increased and effective methods and techniques will be acquired.
"Home of OUC students" is the OUC’s official WeChat account open for the students of the OUC. The account is designed to strengthen mutual learning communication, share life experience, witness the growth of the OUC, transfer positive energy, and promote the campus culture of the OUC. The WeChat platform selects and organizes the contents from the point of view of the students, with an effort to build a service platform that integrates in one place announcements, good personal examples, learning guidance, information enquiries, and exchange and interaction.
Hunan Radio and TV University (RTVU) has for the first time won a bid for four training projects of national primary and secondary school teachers. Among them, three projects, all for teachers in rural areas, will be undertaken independently by Hunan RTVU, including job orientation training for mathematics teachers from elementary schools, for chemistry teachers from junior high schools, and for counsellors from junior high schools.
