Education Without Discrimination 


Beijing Open University (BJOU) has long sought new ways to better share education resources and further communication and cooperation in education. Now, working together with Apple, Beijing OU has joined iTunesU, officially making course resources available via iTunesU.

This online release provides courses in nine different categories, with a total of 255 teaching videos, with the aim of expanding multimedia education and realizing Confucius's "Education Without Discrimination". The goal is to allow more people to participate in and enjoy study.

 

The awards ceremony for the second batch of Grass-Roots Level National Model RTVUs (Tutorial Centres) in China was held along with a forum on the development of local radio and TV universities (RTVUs) from the 26th to the 27th of September in Ningbo. A total of 54 radio and TV universities at county level and 34 radio and TV universities at prefecture and city level were awarded the "Grass-Roots Level National Model RTVUs (Tutorial Centre)" plaque.

On 27 June 2010, Zhejiang Radio and TV University (ZJRTVU) held a ceremony to celebrate the establishment of its scholarship fund and its first awards. The result of the one-year photography competition "Living Life Through China Radio and TV Universities" was announced recently with 78 works winning prizes, including 47 works by students and 31 by faculty members. Six provincial radio and TV universities (RTVUs) in Changchun, Harbin, Anhui, Guangdong, and Gansu won prizes for the competition's organization.

At 7:49 in the morning of Wednesday 14th April 2010, a 7.1-magnitude quake struck Yushu county of the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province. The radio and TV universities (RTVUs) around the country were deeply saddened to hear of the disaster, and pulled all our strength together to provide support and assistance to Yushu Radio and TV University.

Life is like a melody. We are gathered in this glorious age. At the time when people of all ethnic groups in China are celebrating the 60th birthday of our motherland, the Open University of China and China radio and TV universities (CRTVUs) in most parts of our country are celebrating their 30th anniversary. It is a landmark in the development of CRTVUs.
