On 14th September 2023, the Open University of China (OUC) held a summary meeting on thematic education campaign on studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

To learn the important guidelines put forward in the letter from General Secretary Xi Jinping to representatives of outstanding teachers ahead of the 39th Teachers’ Day and promote the construction of high-quality teaching forces, the Open University of China (OUC) held a celebratory meeting dedicated to Teachers’ Day of 2023 on 11 September.

On 7 September 2023, the OUC Education Foundation held an event in Shigatse, Xizang Autonomous Region, marking their donation to Saga County. This generous contribution aims to promote rural revitalisation through education in the region.

To further study and implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and to fulfill the objectives set in the 'OUC's Key Tasks for 2023,' there has been a renewed focus on enhancing the quality of education, fostering teaching excellence, and advancing the development of a digital university.

On 28 August 2023, Wang Qiming, secretary of the Party Committee and president of the Open University of China (OUC), undertook research at the Guizhou Branch. Accompanying him were Fan Xianrui, a member of the Party Committee, as well as vice president of the OUC, among others.

On 26 August 2023, a donation ceremony for the construction of a smart classroom at Xiangxi Open University was held in Shibadong Village, located in the Tujia-Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Xiangxi, Hunan Province.

On 25 August 2023, the Open University of China (OUC) launched a training programme for calligraphy teachers in Butuo County of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, which is one of initiatives taken by the OUC to support rural revitalisation for Butuo County.  

On 1 July 2023, in commemoration of the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Seniors University of China (SUC) and the China Arts Association (CAA) jointly organised a launch ceremony and press conference for the Inaugural CAA Silver Age Art Performance Festival.
