On August 23, 2016, at the 23rd Beijing International Book Fair, OUC Press and Beijing Er Shang Group Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement. According to the agreement, over the next decade Beijing Er Shang Group will offer OUC Press cultural resources from more than 10 China time-honoured brands, including Liubiju, Wang Zhihe, and Yueshengzhai. OUC Press will help to promote China's traditional culture by publishing these cultural resources in the form of traditional and digital publications.
As a video-conferencing seminar commenced in a conference room on the 11th floor of the Open University of China (OUC) headquarters in Beijing, the city was suffering from one of the heaviest downpour in years. Flights were canceled; roads were inundated. Even an orange alert, the second-highest in a four-tier system, was issued by the local meteorological office.
From April 8 to 10, 2016, the Chinese Language Centre of the Open University of China (OUC) kicked off its first session of 2016 professional competence training for international Chinese teaching instructors. On December 31, 2015, the Open University of China (OUC) held a seminar on non-degree education at industry and corporate colleges. At the seminar, they held discussions on non-degree education work for industry schools and further clarified development ideas to explore a new model of cooperation and development.
