Ding Lufeng is an excellent driver, and works on the No. 8 line of the No. 3 branch of the Tianjin Bus Company. In July 2014, he entered Tianjin Radio and Television University (Tianjin RTVU) to study for an undergraduate degree in Administration Management, and graduated in July 2016. During his studies, he worked hard, and was focused on practice. He has been awarded a National May 1st Labour Medal and Ministry of Transport Socialist Core Values Award for his contributions to the cause of public transport.

In March 2016, the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) jointly issued the Action Plan for the Improvement of Migrant Worker Academic Qualifications and Abilities (Action Plan for short). Shen Xiaoqin, of the Han nationality, became a student of Business Administration in 2013 at the Open University of China (OUC), and has served as Party Branch secretary and Village Committee director of Beisha Village Committee, Lishui Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, as well as chair of Foshan Aiqin Jewelry.

On 12 October 2019, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), together with the Ministry of Education (MOE), held a symposium on the 10th anniversary of the national workers' quality construction programme, as well as an exhibition of the achievements of the Action Plan of Realising Dreams of Further Education.

The first trans-sectoral study tour for outstanding young teacher candidates of the Open University of China (OUC) was launched in Chengdu from 21 to 25 October 2019. Fifty-six outstanding young teacher candidates from the OUC organisation system participated in the tour. Zhang Luanqiao, director of the OUC Department of Student Affairs and Teacher Development, presided over the opening ceremony.

On 14 October 2019, the Open University of China (OUC) held an advanced seminar for backbone teachers from administration majors. The seminar lasted for one week and was attended by fifty-two administration major teachers from 25 branches, the Bayi School, and the headquarters.

On 22 October 2019, the 3rd Symposium on Open and Innovative Education was held in Changsha, which was sponsored by the Open University of China (OUC), co-sponsored by the Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) and organised by Hunan Radio and TV University (Hunan RTVU). Experts and scholars from the field of open and distance education in China and abroad participated in the symposium.

Dong Xiaohong, a member of the Communist Party of China, is hostess and director of journalism at the Shenyang Radio and Television Station, and has presided over "Hangfeng Hotline", "Finding a lawyer", "Buying and selling second-hand cars" and other programmes on FM 98.6.
