The All-China Women's Federation recently held a conference in Beijing to commemorate and honour International Women's Day. Several female role models were recognised at the event. Comrade Hu Xing, executive vice chair of the Labour Union and associate researcher at the Open University of China (OUC), was named "National Female Role Model with Outstanding Achievements" during the event.
To implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the digital strategy action in education, and to advance the building of a digital university, a special seminar on the digital construction of universities was held by the Open University of China (OUC) and Beijing Open University (OU) on 6 March 2023. Vice president Fan Xianrui of the OUC and vice president Cai Dapeng of Beijing OU participated in the exchange.
