To implement the Communist Party of China’s (CPC) call to promote reading, guide staff to enjoy reading, read good books and be good at reading, the Open University of China (OUC) launched a book sharing activity hosted by the leader of the university on 23April 2023, as part of OUC Reading Month.

On 21 April 2023, the Seniors University of China (SUC) held the first Reading Campus Culture and Art Festival on Weigongcun Campus in Beijing.

A special seminar was recently given by Professor Pang Zhonghua, a distinguished visiting professor at the Open University of China (OUC) and a famous hard-pen calligrapher in China.

On 17 April 2023, a delegation led by Professor Li Kam-cheong from Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) visited the Open University of China (OUC).

To promote nationwide reading activities, the Seniors University of China (SUC) has curated high-quality reading resources and established a platform for enjoyable reading.

On 18th April 2023, a delegation led by Zhan Cangzhou, the president of Xiamen Senior-Citizen University, and Tang Ning, the president of Xiamen Open University, visited the Seniors University of China (SUC), also known as the Open University of China (OUC), for an investigation.
