The 4th Asian Para Games concluded in Hangzhou on 28 October 2023. China secured an impressive haul of medals, totaling 214 golds, 167 silvers, and 140 bronzes.

Among these medalists, 15 are students from the tutorial centre for the School for the Disabled at the Open University of China (OUC). They achieved exceptional performance, securing 13 gold, 7 silver, and 9 bronze medals in events including table tennis, wheelchair fencing, weightlifting, field athletics, and sitting volleyball. This impressive haul not only showcases the determination of OUC's disabled students to pursue their dreams and strive for excellence in competition but also highlights their spirit of teamwork and relentless pursuit of self-improvement. They have brought honour to their alma mater and enhanced the reputation of their homeland. The OUC is immensely proud of them.

Even though the Asian Para Games have come to an end, the spirit of surpassing oneself and pursuing dreams that permeated the competitions continues to inspire and move us deeply. The OUC wishes to offer its highest tribute to every student who participated in the events and extend heartfelt congratulations to the medalists.
