To leverage the cultural features and advantageous resources of local scenic spots in carrying out teaching activities, and serve the construction of a learning society and lifelong education system in Zhejiang province, Zhejiang Radio and TV University’s (Zhejiang RTVU) "micro RTVU" WeChat platform has developed the "DD Study Tour."
On November 25, 2015, Hubei Radio and TV University (Hubei RTVU) met with Hubei University for Older Adults to discuss preparatory work for establishing Hubei University for Older Adults. The two agreed that Hubei University for Older Adults will establish its school system across the province by leveraging the advantages of the Hubei RTVU school system. The Vice Presidents of Hubei RTVU, Li Hui, and Hu Xiong attended the conference.
The first microfilm produced by Gansu Radio and Television University (Gansu RTVU)focusing on higher education for the disabled, called “A Wing of the Heart”, recently won awards for promotion activities and selected as an original network-based audio-visual programme for the "2015 China Dream," which is part of the content construction project supporting network-based audio-visual programmes of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT). The film is currently being aired on all of the major video broadcasting platforms across the country.
To further propel the “Development Plan for Farmer College Students” and showcase the spirit of new farmer college students, Yueyang RTVU held a speech contest for “New Farmer College Students,” and the final contest concluded on December 4, 2015.
On December 1, 2015, the opening ceremony for the Inner Mongolia Urban and Rural Community College was held at Inner Mongolia Radio and Television University(Inner Mongolia RTVU).
On December 3-4, 2015, the OUC's Learning Resources Development & Library Working Seminar was held in Beijing. The seminar focused on how to promote both learning resources development and their application, centred around each course and guided by the demands of the learners.
On November 25, 2015, the first mobile learning course through the Open University of China (OUC), the Special Subject of Modern Chinese Language, was examined and approved by an expert panel. The expert panel included researcher Guo Longsheng, from the Ministry of Education’s Institute of Applied Linguistics, Professor Zhang Fumei, from Langfang RTVU, Xu Cheng, Assistant Professor at Beijing Jiaotong University, and Associate Professor Xu Changwei, from the OUC.
On December 5, 2015, Xinjiang School for the Disabled, under the Open University of China(OUC), held a graduation ceremony for its first batch of students. Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Xinjiang Autonomous Region, and Vice Chairman of the Region,Erkin Twainiaz,attended the meeting and made an important speech.
