In order to help build a high-quality education system, promote deep integration of digitization, intelligentization, and education, enhance teachers' digital capabilities, and promote the construction of digital universities, the Open University of China (OUC) sent 24 teachers to participate in the first "Peking University- University of Cambridge " International Online Workshop on Education Digitalisation, which was held from 27th to 31st March 2023.

On 21 March 2023, the Open University of China (OUC) hosted a live stream in which Professor Wu Di from the AI Education Department of Huazhong Normal University discussed professional standards in the education industry.

Recently, the third Academic Committee Director's Work Meeting of the Open University of China (OUC) was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. The meeting focused on enhancing academic capacity building and serving the high-quality development of the open university. Li Song, vice president and director of the Academic Committee of the OUC, attended the meeting.

On 3 January 2023, the Learning Resources Department (Digital Library) invited Professor Jiang Qiang of Northeast Normal University to deliver a lecture on adaptive learning.

On 20 December 2022, the Open University of China (OUC) held an exhibition and exchange to enhance teaching reforms, delivered via both livestreamed and recorded video, and showcasing 22 practical outcomes from 17 branches and schools within the OUC system.

On 13 December 2022, the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Open University of China (OUC) held a teaching seminar for OUC teachers. Fan Xianrui, member of the Party Committee and vice president of the OUC, delivered a speech, and over 500 English teachers from all branches participated online.

Entrusted by the Department of Language Information Management of the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Open University of China (OUC) held two online-training sessions on standard spoken and written Chinese language for a total of 440 students, including community-education and grassroots workers in counties designated for rural revitalisation, from 21 November to 2 December.

The Faculty of Political Science and Law of the Open University of China (OUC) invited Bao Jing, vice chair of and researcher with the Chinese Public Administration Society, to lecture on “modernisation of governance in a changing world” to OUC students and teachers.
