On 27th March 2023, the Open University of China (OUC) held the 2021 Annual Youth Research Project Conclusion Report and Results Open Exchange Event.

More than 30 people, including young research project leaders from the past two years, research office staff, and enthusiastic teaching and research staff, participated in the event on campus.

Young research talents are the most innovative and capable group. At the beginning of the establishment of the OUC's youth research projects, the university aimed to provide research support for new employees with master and doctorate degrees. After nearly a year of research and promotion, seven project leaders presented their conclusions at the event. Based on their reports on the research process, results, and achieved benefits, the seven young project leaders also listened carefully to the suggestions and comments from evaluation experts on the projects, and continually improved their research accordingly.

The director of the Research Office, Chen Shougang, presided over the event and pointed out that the establishment of youth research projects aims to guide and encourage everyone to embark on a research journey on the platform of the OUC. By implementing youth research projects, it helps young researchers to identify their own research areas and directions, accumulate research results and experience. Furthermore, the research and its achievements could be transformed to promote teaching and enhance the university's development, while also promoting teachers' own professional development through research.
