On October 25, 2013, Zhejiang Lifelong Learning for All Activity Week was launched at the West Lake Cultural Plaza in Hangzhou. “Learning Square • Zhejiang Lifelong Learning Online”, a programme developed and run by Zhejiang Radio & TV University (RTVU), was opened at the same time along with the Community Education Centre of Zhejiang.

A list of “Learning Stars of the People” award winners was announced at the opening ceremony of the 9th Lifelong Learning for All Activity Week held in Tianjin. Among the 104 winners, nine were enrolled students or alumni from the Radio & TV University system (RTVUs).

On 24th and 25th of October, Bingtuan RTVU held its eighth “Open Teaching Class Observation” Contest, attended by 51 tutors from branch schools and the main campus. First prize went to Jiao Xinshu from the Branch School of the Sixth Division and second prizes went to Yang Yang from the Fifth Division and Sun Juelin from the Eighth Division. While Yin Yuemei from the Fourth Division, Li Rongxin from the Thirteenth Division, Tan Lijing from the Tenth Division and Liu Guoyu from the Ninth Division won the third prizes.

The first International Conference of Learning Cities organized by UNESCO was held in Beijing on October 21th, 2013. Vice Premier of the State Council Liu Yandong addressed the conference at the opening ceremony. 
 

On the afternoon of September 3, Shaanxi Radio and TV University (RTVU) and China Telecom Shaanxi Company signed the “Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Promoting Jointly Modern Intelligent Distance Education Digitization” at the conference room on the 10th floor of an office complex at the new campus.

The Microcourse entitled “Mixed Chorus — Voice Constitution and Formation Arrangement,” designed and made by the Ministry of Education Research & Training Centre for Community Education, has achieved recently the second prize of “the First National Microcourse Contest”.
