The iPad version of “Your Hand Drawing” application software (hereinafter referred to as “Your Hand Drawing App”) developed by the Open University of China (OUC) was formally launched recently at Apple’s app store. From January 2015 on, students of the OUC and the general public will be able to download this professional graphics software for free via their personal app store account and use it to practice painting and drawing.

The session, organized by the Publishers Association of China, and held every two years, is one of the highest awards in the publication industry. A total of 338 excellent works received awards in categories covering books, audio and video electronic games, research papers, and award nominations. Experts Talking About Ancient Chinese Culture, published by the OUC Multimedia Press, claimed the prize for Chinese Excellent Publication in the area of audio and video electronic games.
Following the signing of the "Tonglu pilot project of the rural development strategy" in October 2014, Alibaba, once again working with Tonglu County, recently joined forces to build a training centre for rural e-business. In order to share and exchange experiences in building an overpass to lifelong learning between China's mainland and Hong Kong, a round-table conference on Qualifications Framework and lifelong learning overpass construction was held in Beijing on January 9. The conference was jointly organized by the Open University of China (OUC), the Qualifications Framework Secretariat (QFS), the Centre for Research in Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning, School of Professional and Continuing Education，the University of Hong Kong (HKU SPACE). The participants of the conference exchanged their experiences in carrying out Qualifications Framework and construction of the overpass to lifelong learning.
