From 8 to 18 June, the Open University of China (OUC) held an online seminar for the backbone teachers from its Civil Engineering (Hydraulic and Hydropower Engineering) majors in order to study and implement the spirit of the National Education Conference and put into practice the fundamental task of cultivating learners through fostering virtue, as well as to promote the construction of teaching teams and enhance teachers’ teaching skills and ability to develop the discipline.

On the morning of 24 June 2020, the Open University of China (OUC) held a video conference on 2020 spring semester final examinations. Lin Yu, vice president of the OUC, and related persons responsible for the department of educational affairs, attended the meeting. A total of 5,107 examiners and persons engaged in examination work from the OUC’s branches, schools, and test centres attended the meeting via video.

In response to General Secretary Xi Jinping's important directive on strengthening the rule of law in public health, the Open University of China (OUC) invited Mr. Wang Chenguang, famous health law expert and professor of Tsinghua University, to give a video lecture entitled “The Public Security System and Health Legalisation" as part of its Quality Lectures by Famous Teachers series of courses on 27 June 2020.

Recently, the Qingdao Branch and Qingdao Tourism Group held a ceremony to sign an agreement on a school-enterprise cooperation programme and unveil the Qingdao Tourism Group Professional Training Centre and Qingdao Radio and TV University Field Teaching Centre (Qingdao RTVU).

The Anhui Branch recently successfully completed remote thesis defences for undergraduates graduating in the 2020 spring semester. The remote defence, carried out smoothly under the guidance of the principle of "No Suspension of Classes Despite School Closure" attracted the participation of a total of 7,774 students from 22 majors in the Radio and TV University (RTVU) system in Anhui Province, of which 1,190 students participated in the dissertation defence.

A number of beautiful famous villages in Lishui, Zhejiang Province, have recently taken up a new mission, becoming classrooms for ideological and political education through a cooperative programme developed by Lishui Radio and Television University (Lishui RTVU). The villages, which have made great progress in rural revitalisation, offered a wonderful ideological and political education lesson to 41 students who are members of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

On June 24 2020, the UNESCO-Africa-China High-level Dialogue for Supporting Priority Africa in the COVID-19 and Post-COVID Context (hereinafter shortened to “the dialogue”) was held via video.
