Interior Design (for junior college students) was designed to meet the needs of social and economic development and to help people a better, more beautiful life. The goal of the major is to cultivate graduates qualified in interior design, space design, entertainment design, and display design. Trial enrolment started in the spring of 2010 and formally started in the spring of 2011. There are currently 12 branches enrolling students for this major, with 8,391 on-campus students. The core courses for this major were created based on teaching resources from the Faculty of Environmental Art of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University. The core courses all have online courses and are equipped with a course teaching team. Online teaching is the main teaching method, supplemented by face-to-face teaching and practical teaching through internships in interior design companies.
