In order to further deepen the reform of integrated practical education offered to advertising major and enrich the cultural life of the campus, the Department of Humanity, Law and Arts at Xi’an Radio and TV University (RTVU) recently held an exhibition of its advertising major’s graduation projects. The theme of this year’s show was “Inspiration from Life & Character Cultivation.”

The outstanding audio-visual teaching series Lectures on Chinese Culture and The History of Chinese Literature have been selected as open classes for the China E-Learning Academy for Leadership (hereinafter referred to as the “Academy”). The courses were added to the website of the Academy a few days ago. The two courses will play a unique role in cultivating a taste for culture and improving the quality of educational training for national leaders.

During the 2013 “Pioneer Party Members”, “Excellent and Innovative Work Case Studies” and “Excellent Investigation Report” selection activities carried out by the Party Committee directly under the Ministry of Education (MOE), Gu Xiaohua, Vice Dean of the School of Arts and Law of the Open University of China (OUC), and Feng Liguo, Deputy Director of the OUC Learner Support Centre, were named “Pioneer Party Members”,

On February 27, 2014, the Academic Committee of the Open University of China (OUC) invited Wang Daquan, Deputy Director of the Legislative Office of the Ministry of Education (MOE), to interpret the “Regulations for the Academic Committees of Institutions of Higher Learning (hereafter referred to as “the Regulations”)” for the faculty of the OUC.

A few days ago, Lv Yana, an undergraduate student of the class of the spring of 2013 majoring in administrative management at Ninghai RTVU won the silver prize in the professional group during the finals of the “2013 Yue Opera Actress Competition”, held by the traditional opera channel of CCTV, as well as the award for “Most Popular” in the competition.

Sun Wei, a student from Zhenghai School of Ningbo RTVU, traveled to Beijing and successfully donated his hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) to an American leukemia patient.

The former Vice President of the China Central Radio and TV University (CCRTVU), Professor Sun Lvyi, donated a total of 65 books of 15 varieties, which she had been collecting for dozens of years, to the Open University of China (OUC). The donation ceremony was held on the morning of March 10th in the Wukesong Campus of the OUC.

On February 16th, the “3D Printing and Popular Science Activity”, held jointly by Qingdao Radio and TV University (RTVU) and the 3D Focus website (www.3dfocus.com.cn), attracted 152 families and more than 500 citizens. The activity was filled with vivid cartoon characters and picturesque models of animals, as well as realistic human skeletons.
