The selection of the “2017 Outstanding Graduates of the Open University of China (OUC)” has been completed, and 488 students have received the honour.
The 2018 plenary session of the OUC School Affairs Committee was held in Beijing from 9-10th May 2018. Forty-one School Affairs Committee members and nine entrusted representatives from the OUC and 45 of its branches attended the meeting.
A launch ceremony for the online course “Appreciation and Creation of Chinese Traditional Landscape Paintings & Moodle Platform”, the first China National Arts Fund project applied for by the Open University of China (OUC), was held at the OUC Wukesong campus on 8th May 2018.
On 8 May, 2018, the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Open University of China (OUC) held a video meeting on arranging for students to attend the national tax-skills competition. Li Linjun, vice president and secretary-general of the China Certified Tax Agents Association, Liu Chen, vice president of the OUC, and Huang Hongbin, director of the Examination Department of the China Certified Tax Agents Association, attended the meeting.
An accreditation unit workshop on the logistics industry and a launch meeting for the "Pilot Programme for the Accumulation and Transfer of Learning Outcomes in Higher Vocational Education” for Logistics Management was convened at the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) on 26th April 2018.
On 9 May, 2018, the National Copyright Administration of the People’s Republic of China (NCAC) granted computer-software-copyright certificates to the Bayi School of the Open University of China (OUC) for its seven academic-affairs management-application systems, including online enrolment, online learning, online assessment, online examination, examination management, student-status management and artificial-intelligence-response systems.
In order to strengthen the development of the teaching team for agriculture and science majors within the Open University of China (OUC) educational system, improve’ teaching capability and level, and increase cohesion among the teaching team, the OUC held a seminar for backbone teachers from agriculture and science majors (including the “one college student per village” programme) from 22nd to 27th April 2018 in Beijing. Sixty-two teachers from 24 OUC branches and their learning centres, as well as seven teachers from the OUC headquarters, attended the seminar and completed the studies.
