On 24 December 2018, an Exhibition of Outstanding Works by Students of the Traditional Chinese Landscape Online Programme sponsored by the Open University of China (OUC) was held at the OUC’s Wukesong campus.
The works on show were all created by students from the "Construction of the Moodle Platform for the Appreciation and Creation of Traditional Chinese Landscape Paintings" project. This was the OUC’s first National Arts Fund project and was officially approved in August 2017 and completed a year later. Supported by modern distance-education technology, the project incorporated both online and offline teaching, enabling adult beginners to master the basic techniques of traditional Chinese landscape painting within 63 days. One hundred and forty seven outstanding pieces have been selected from among the students’ works and the OUC will release all of these works in succession.
