On September 21st, the OUC (CCRTVU) Secondary Technical School held its 2013 Opening Ceremony and Scholarship Awards Ceremony at Wukesong Campus of the OUC. Scholarships were presented to 89 students with excellent academic records. On the afternoon of August 29, 2013, the OUC Learning Outcomes Accreditation Centre (Xi’an Centre) was unveiled at Xi’an RTVU, making it one of the first pilot group of the OUC Learning Outcomes Accreditation Centre. Li Linshu, vice president of the OUC, and Yang Xinzhou, secretary of Xi’an RTVU Party committee unveiled the centre.

The Qingdao Brand of the Open University of China (OUC) was officially inaugurated at Qingdao Radio and TV University (RTVU) on July 28, 2013. Wang Guangzheng, standing member of Qingdao Municipal CPC Committee and Vice Mayor of Qingdao People’s Government, together with the OUC President Yang Zhijian, unveiled the nameplate.

Senior Officials from the Ministry of Education (MOE), including Vice Minister Du Zhanyuan and Deputy Director-general of the MOE Department of Science and Technology Lou Jing, visited the Open University of China (the OUC) on June 4, 2013 to inspect its achievements since its establishment in 2012 and experience the Week for Cultural Learning activity.

The Open University of China (OUC) officially established its School of the Arts on July 3, 2013. The opening ceremony was attended by Zhang Shuanggu, vice president and secretary-general of the Chinese Society for Educational Development Strategy, and Yan Bing, vice president of the OUC.
