The opening ceremony for the second session of the Pang Zhonghua hard-pen senior seminar was held on 1 November 2022, and attended online by 342 teachers from 42 branches of the Open University of China (OUC) system.
21 June 2022 is a great day for all the people of the Open University of China (OUC). On this day 10 years ago, the Ministry of Education (MOE) issued the Approval of the Establishment of the Open University of China Founded on the Basis of the China Central Radio & TV University, opening a new chapter in the development of the OUC.
20 May 2022 saw the opening ceremony of the Lifelong Education Platform developed by the Open University of China (OUC), marking the official public launch of the platform. OUC President Jing Degang and Vice Presidents Ju Chuanjin and Fan Xianrui attended the opening ceremony.

On 19 April 2022, the Open University of China (OUC) held a meeting to demonstrate the practical achievements of education and teaching reform. The meeting, which aimed to deepen education and teaching reform and promote the high-quality development of open education through exchange, mutual learning, and consensus building, was broadcast live to teachers throughout the OUC system.
On 20 April 2022, the OUC held a summary and commendation meeting for the 7th China International Internet Plus College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and a kick-off meeting for the 8th Competition.
20 April 2022, the start of Guyu, or "Millet Rain", the sixth solar term in the Chinese lunar calendar, was designated as the 13th UN Chinese Language Day. The Open University of China (OUC) celebrated the event for the first time, organising activities related to writing the 24 solar terms in seal-script style. Ms. Fan Xianrui, vice president of the OUC, attended the event and spoke at the opening ceremony.
