According to Wang Huanbin, secretary of the Taizhou Open University (OU) Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the vast majority (2/3s) of Taizhou OU’s 15,000 registered students are from local private enterprises, with the remainder full-time students. The city, university, and enterprises are together advancing projects such as "One-Thousand Craftsmen” and “One-Thousand Entrepreneurs” for “double improvement" of education and skills.

In a video lecture, Mr. Tang analyses in detail a famous work, the“Composition with Red, Blue and Yellow” by the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian in terms of its artistic characteristics and the stories behind it. It is the first lecture of an online community Basics of Painting class given by him at the Open University of China (OUC). Hundreds of students are being introduced to oil painting via these lectures.

On 18 March 2022 the Open University of China (OUC) held a meeting via video link to promote the "Smart Learning Platform" pilot project for the spring term 2022 to advance the implementation of the national digital education strategy action (“action” for short) and accelerate the OUC’s digital transformation. OUC vice president Fan Xianrui delivered a speech.

Brief Introduction: Ge Zhaolong is a student majored in the junior-college programme of Construction-project Management at Ninghai Radio and TV University (RTVU) starting from fall term 2020. He is a member of Ningbo City Folk Literature and Art Association, and practices Ninghai traditional stage construction (a Ningbo “intangible cultural heritage”).
