The Management Sub-Committee of the Academic Committee of the Open University of China (OUC) will organise a series of integrated online/offline activities encouraging academic discussion and exchange during November and December to strengthen the construction of the Management Sub-Committee, further the professional development and empirical research of the OUC management discipline, serve teaching reform and course construction, and improve the research level of the discipline in line with The OUC Academic Committee Regulations.

On 11 November 2011, the School of Public Administration of the Faculty of Political and Law of the Open University of China (OUC) held a workshop concerning issues of public administration after Covid-19.

On 18 October 2021, another Covid-19 outbreak resulted in a lockdown in Ningxia. Overnight, early 2020 seemed to have returned, but in contrast to then, many people are leaving their homes, staying at work, and helping fight the spread of infection. Ningxia Open University (Ningxia OU) students have been unanimous in joining them.

On 4 November 2011, an “Emotion and Stress Management, Self-care, and Meaningful Living” mental-health workshop was held at the Open University of China (OUC). The workshop invited Wang Dongsheng, associate research fellow in the Psychological Counseling and Service Centre of the Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee of Beijing Normal University, to explain how to manage emotions and relieve stress. 29 teachers from various departments and the Experimental School attended.

On the recent list of the 8th National Moral Models, Zhu Shijie, an outstanding alumnus of the Open University of China (OUC), and workshop supervisor at the Ningbo Beilun Third Container Terminal (part of the Zhejiang Seaport Group), was named a “Model of Professional Dedication”.

The Open University of China (OUC) held a training class for backbone teachers in the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering majors recently.

In order to enhance the OUC’s “Poverty Alleviation through Education”programme in terms of technical training in rural areas, the Educational Scientific and Technological Bureau of Zhaojue County is introducing “Intelligent Box” learning software into villages and townships, and holding in-depth workshops on its use.
