Liu Jianming, Han ethnicity and a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), serves as the secretary of the Party General Branch in Tangdi Village, Lizhu Town, Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province.

He is also the director of the Village Committee. Liu majored in Horticulture at Keqiao School, part of Zhejiang Open University, starting in the autumn of 2018. Over the years, he has been recognized with numerous honors, including being named a National Model Worker, an Influential Figure in Rural Revival, and receiving the title of Responsible Branch Secretary of Zhejiang Province.

Tangdi Village, renowned as “top flora village in Shaoxing” is exceptionally beautiful in the blooming season.

As a grassroots deputy to the NPC, Liu Jianming is dedicated to rural construction and development. From transforming villages into picturesque locales to fostering a vibrant economy, he has guided the villagers on a journey toward a moderately prosperous life at an impressive pace, known as the "Dangdi" speed.

Tangdi Village has completed a range of projects, including cultural landscaping, village-level roads, and a tourist service center, establishing itself as a Special Tourist Attraction Village. Its primary industry is the flora trade, with the Orchid Culture Creative Field Trip Experience emerging as a new sector. According to Liu Jianming, this signifies the transformation of the village's resource and ecological advantages into economic and developmental strengths.

"I hope that more young people are willing to work for the village and continue to enhance our flora industry, as the success of rural revitalisation relies on the persistent efforts of successive generations," added Liu Jianming.

At this year’s Two Sessions, drawing on his extensive experience as a deputy deeply embedded in rural areas, he suggested that pilot programmes for comprehensive rural reform be implemented in carefully selected villages nationwide, on a moderately large scale. He advocated for an increased proportion of fiscal subsidies provided by provincial or higher-level governments, alongside the strengthening of more favorable tax measures and funding guarantees.
