Profile:

Yue Qiaoyun, Han ethnicity, is a deputy to the National People's Congress and the chairperson of Beijing Lyunongxingyun Fruit Production and Sales Professional Cooperative Society.

She is also a student, majoring in Business Administration at Beijing Open University (Pinggu Branch) in the spring of 2023.

Yue Qiaoyun hails from Liujia Dian Town in the Pinggu District of Beijing, a place known for its abundant harvest of big peaches. Since her teens, Yue Qiaoyun has been helping her parents plant and sell peaches. In 2016, she left her job in downtown Beijing and returned to her hometown to use her acquired knowledge to assist everyone in the community, with planting and selling big peaches.

In the past few years of managing the cooperative society, Yue Qiaoyun realised that traditional concepts and methods were no longer suitable for current market demands. Around that time, the district proposed the "Internet Plus" project. Seizing the policy’s support, Yue Qiaoyun quickly launched the e-commerce marketing model of "Internet Plus Big Peaches”, enabling peaches to be sold all over the country through online ordering, cooperative society-organised sources, and logistics distribution.

"Now, I have increasingly realised, that the future of rural revitalisation lies in technology!" In recent years, Yue Qiaoyun has created a "Tech Innovation Hub" with 9 researchers, introducing projects such as Doctoral Farm, Smart Farm, and Big Peach New Variety Demonstration Base. This, has not only improved the quality of big peaches, but also opened up a new path to wealth through technological innovation for fruit farmers.

"As a deputy to the National People's Congress, I will continue to stay rooted in rural areas, dedicating to the development of agricultural initiatives, and work with fellow villagers to grow our peaches better, by combining peaches with technology, in order to contribute to rural revitalisation!" Yue Qiaoyun expressed emotionally.

During this year's Two Sessions, Yue Qiaoyun proposed increasing support and providing professional training services, like e-commerce live streaming skills, for farmers to support rural revitalisation. Looking to the future, she is determined to remain rooted in rural areas, dedicate herself to agriculture, and work alongside fellow villagers to contribute to rural revitalisation.
