On 5 November 2020, the symposium “Collaborative Development of International Cooperation and Communications at Open Universities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region" was held at the Tianjin Branch of the Open University of China (OUC).

In order to implement the document "Several Opinions of the Open University of China on Improving Quality of Education", promote the implementation of integrated practices and bachelor-degree applications, and enhance teaching quality, the Faculty of Agroforestry and Medicine held a meeting on the teaching and degree requirements for the undergraduate programmes of Agriculture and Medicine on 5 and 6 November 2020.

Chen Jingbo (1927 – 2020) was a retired veteran, a cadre of the Wuhan Branch of the Open University of China (OUC), and vice president of the Wuhan Grain School.

A conference to commend individuals or units for their contributions to fighting Covid-19 in Heilongjiang Province was held recently, with many organisations, individuals, CPC members and grassroots Party groups receiving commendations.  

The Zhejiang Branch of the Open University of China (OUC) recently held a 2020 Yangtze River Delta Regional Credit Bank Construction and Learning Outcome Certification Forum with the theme of “Integration · Connection · Unimpeded Access.”

Ever since the outbreak of Covid-19, the students of the Open University of China (OUC) have implemented the guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping on controlling it, following the relevant policies and decisions, shouldering great responsibility, and fighting bravely.

Jing Degang, secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Open University of China (OUC), and Liu Chen, deputy secretary of the OUC Party Committee, held an exchange meeting with Lu Xin, former vice president of the China Central Radio and TV University (CCRTVU) and a senior comrade who fought with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in the war against US aggression.

In order to further promote traditional culture and broaden the horizons of teaching staff, on 27 October 2020 the Faculty of Humanities of the Open University of China (OUC) invited Pang Zhonghua, founder and chair of the China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, to give a lecture titled "Focus on One Thing in Life": A Talk on Living and Calligraphy.
