Ⅳ. Conclusion

Constructing an OUC institutional system with Chinese characteristics is a complex and systematic project. This thesis serves as an initial definition of the implications, features and construction framework of the OUC system, with the hope of making a fundamental exploration that may serve to advance the construction of the OUC institutional system. The host of issues concerning the construction model, construction principle, development strategy, system and mechanisms to ensure its standard operation, as well as the governance of the OUC by national education policies and the government, still require special study and in-depth discussions, and eventually to be settled in practice.
