Recently, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission announced the selection results for the 2025 Beijing Higher Education Undergraduate Teaching Programme. Six projects from the Open University of China (OUC) were selected, including "Rural Development Theory and Practice," "Steel Structures," "Floriculture," among others.

Additionally, eight open education textbooks published by the OUC Press were simultaneously selected for the 2025 Beijing Higher Education "High-Quality Undergraduate Basic Teaching Resources (Textbooks)" Project, such as Fundamentals of Electromechanical Control Engineering, Small Town Construction (2nd Edition), and Fundamentals of Livestock Anatomy.

The Beijing Municipal Education Commission launched the undergraduate teaching programme in 2019 to promote the quality improvement of higher education teaching. The selection of all six OUC applications fully affirms the university's talent cultivation quality and teaching reform achievements, and also demonstrates the university's active efforts in implementing the Master Plan on Building China into a Leading Country in Education. OUC will take this selection as an opportunity to further advance its quality enhancement strategy, continuously strengthen faculty team building, deepen teaching reform, comprehensively improve education capabilities and school operation standards, and help the university reach new heights in high-quality development.
