The Open University of China (OUC) organised a training programme to enhance teachers' core competencies and research capabilities for the entire system from 12 to 30 December 2024.

A total of 367 teachers from 44 OUC branches participated in the online training, which was hosted by the Department of Student Affairs and Teacher Development and supported by the National Academy of Education Administration and OUC Online.

 
Professor Qu Lingbo delivered a lecture on "Research Awareness, Protocols, and Approaches for Selecting Topics that Research Key Personnel Should Establish".


Professor Li Yanmei delivered a lecture on "Key Points for Applying for the National Natural Science Foundation and Suggestions for Writing Application Proposals".


Professor Zhang Yuxin shared views on "How to Write High-Quality Research Papers".

The participating teachers said that the training was rich in content, with course designs closely following the latest developments in China’s education field. The curriculum was tightly aligned with the practical needs of teachers in both research and teaching. It provided valuable insights into scientific research and teaching methods, leading to deeper reflections and benefiting all attendees.
