First, regarding the use of information technology, Sun Zhijuan, a member of the working group for the construction of "One Network and One Platform", introduced and demonstrated the new learning network and teaching-analysis platform. Second, Wang Xin introduced the place of ideological and political education in Software Engineering, a course on being emphasised nationally in this regard. She pointed out that teaching teams are essential to such education, and made suggestions based on her expertise as an evaluator. Third, Cui Lin spoke of preparations for the construction of the Artificial Intelligence major, curriculum innovations, and the need for training to meet employer demand. Fourth, in relation to the construction of a high-level teaching team in Beijing, Wang Li demonstrated the design and implementation of games for use in teaching, and spoke about a pilot teaching programme launched at the OUC Experimental School. Finally, Yu Qijing, the first full-time teacher to work to control Covid-19 in the Ministry of Education, reported on what he had learnt from this.

The participants spoke highly this exchange and the hard work of the teachers giving the reports. They engaged in heated discussions on the contents of these, and gave constructive suggestions for future work.

The event has helped push forward teaching reforms in Science and Engineering, enhancing the quality of the major and its curriculum, advancing the inclusion of ideological and political education, and giving its teachers incentives to engage in entrepreneurship. Events of this kind will become normal at the OUC in the future.
