On December 31, 2015, newly elected ATSE (Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering) Foreign Fellow Dr. Liu Ke, in his capacity as its part-time professor, visited Shaanxi RTVU to present an academic report to the university's academic committee members.

Dr. Liu Ke has been employed as a part-time professor at Shaanxi RTVU since 2014. Dr. Liu is a renowned expert in industry enterprise management and chemical energy specialist, expert of China Recruitment Programme of Global Experts, Commissioner of Pangoal Think-Tank Academic Committee, Vice President with Haldor Topsoe. In December 2015, Dr. Liu was elected for inclusion in the list of “2015 Top 50 Chinese Oversea Returnees for Innovation and Entrepreneurship”. 

According to ATSE’s press release, Dr. Liu was elected as ATSE’s foreign fellow due to his outstanding achievements in scientific research and his contributions to industry. It is reported that the nominees are proposed and elected to ATSE’s foreign fellows list only when their inventions, creations, and academic proficiency have reached international criteria and their research findings have been influential and brought tremendous contributions to Australia.   

In his lecture, Dr. Liu said that the era of “Internet+” creates a perfect opportunity for Shaanxi RTVU to transform into a world first class open university and that it should grasp this chance to solidify its position by gathering quality global educational resources.
