A Wing of the Heart, a Micro Film Produced by Gansu RTVU Focusing on Higher Education for Disabled People,Wins Awards from the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television

The first microfilm produced by Gansu Radio and Television University (Gansu RTVU)focusing on higher education for the disabled, called “A Wing of the Heart”, recently won awards for promotion activities and selected as an original network-based audio-visual programme for the "2015 China Dream," which is part of the content construction project supporting network-based audio-visual programmes of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT). The film is currently being aired on all of the major video broadcasting platforms across the country.

The microfilm “A Wing of the Heart” was created by Gansu RTVU, and adapted from the true story of a young painter, Yang Dongming, who graduated from the Gansu Branch of the OUC School for the Disabled. Through the story of protagonist Zhou Xusheng, a representative of disabled students who studied at Gansu RTVU, made continuous improvements, pursued his dream, and finally made that dream come true, the film highlights the theme of “upholding core socialist values and building a China Dream together” as well as the humanistic care extended to students by the teachers. The RTVU’s achievements in education for the disabled were fully presented, reflecting the social care and love for disabled students.

In September,“A Wing of the Heart”was awarded second prize for its collection of original network-based audio-visual programmes. The micro film also won the network-based drama contest at the Gansu Broadcasting, Radio, and Television Network Cup in 2015“for promoting core socialist values and building the China Dream together.” The film was then recommended to the SAPPRFT to be aired for the masses. It was recently recognized with promotion and selection of original network-based audio-visual programme by the 2015 “China Dream”, a part of the content construction project supporting SAPPRFT’s network-based audio-visual programmes.
