The Symposium on Open and Innovative Education, created by the Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK), aims to bring together scholars in the field of open and innovative education from all over the world to solve outstanding problems, exchange scientific research views, and explore cooperation methods.

Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (UDIMA) was founded in 1977. The third largest distance university in Spain approved by the Spanish Ministry of Education and recognised by the EU, UDMA offers open and distance learning for students at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.

The Online Tutor Training Programme has three initial three modules, Online Course Design, Learner Support, and Tutoring Online, all of which are taught online.

The AAOU Staff Exchange Fellowship Programme was created by the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU). Member institutions of AAOU offer reciprocal short-term visiting fellowships to distance education professionals so they can carry out research projects connected with the promotion and development of distance education. The aim is to increase academic exchanges between Asian open universities and promote intercollegiate research cooperation.

The Hong Kong Croucher Foundation Scholar Exchange Project is funded by the Hong Kong Croucher Foundation and implemented by the Open University of China (OUC)and the Open University of Hongkong (OUHK).
