On 11 October 2024, the special programme "Glorious Sunset: Tribute to Seniors", co-produced by the Seniors University of China (SUC) and China Media Group (CMG), was broadcast on CCTV-1, CCTV-3, CCTV-15, and CMG Mobile.

This special programme is based on the traditional cultural customs of the Double Ninth Festival and the excellent Chinese traditional virtues of respecting and loving the elderly. It is presented in an artistic style that blends traditional and modern Chinese culture, structured into four chapters: "Joy of Double Ninth", "Affection of Double Ninth", "Rhythm of Double Ninth", and "Aspiration of Double Ninth".

The programme, featuring performances by students from the SUC, showcased the vibrant mental outlook of the elderly in the new era, reflecting the SUC’s fruitful teaching achievements.
Dai Jingang, a specially appointed expert from the School of Proactive Health of the SUC, performed a creative dance named "Baduanjin Street Dance" as a guest performer. This performance perfectly combined traditional Chinese health-building  Qigong with street dance, spreading the concept of proactive health.

The SUC actively supports and takes the initiative to respond to the national strategy for population aging. In the future, it will continue to launch high-quality courses and brand-name activities, focusing on its educational philosophy of "Virtue, Learning, Health, Happiness, and Accomplishment". The SUC aims to promote virtue-cultivation, lifelong learning, proactive health, embracing a joyful life, and achieving positive accomplishments among the elderly. It strives to meet the diverse learning needs of seniors and is committed to becoming the “primary channel” for elderly education, the “strong guide” for proactive health, and the “catalyst” for the silver economy.
