Recently, the promotional meeting for the development of the Seniors University of China (SUC) was held in Beijing. During this event, the Research Institute of the SUC was officially inaugurated.

The meeting was presided over by Wang Qiming, the secretary of the Party Committee and president of the Open University of China (OUC), also known as the SUC. Additionally, Fan Xuanrui, a member of the Party Committee and vice president of the OUC (SUC), announced the decision to establish the Research Institute at the SUC. The announcement included the unveiling of the list of the first cohort of experts to be hired by the Institute.

The Research Institute at SUC is committed to producing high-quality research outcomes. It aims to provide advanced and strategic solutions for the scientific coordination of senior education. Our goal is to establish a leading research hub for the theories, practices, and applications of national senior education.

The first batch of expert representatives, led by Professor Du Peng, former vice president of Renmin University of China (RUC) and director of the Institute on Ageing at RUC, delivered a speech and participated in discussions. Key personnel from the Ministry of Education, National Health Commission, and Ministry of Civil Affairs also attended the meeting.
